Bravo to Katie and Jeff!

I’m always impressed when couples have the bravery to write and read their own vows, but that’s nothing compared to those who take dance lessons and wow their guests with a choreographed first dance. Katie and Jeff did just that recently at their wedding. One of the challenges of practicing for such a dance is that you don’t know how the wedding dress is going to move and you can’t practice with it without the groom finding out what your dress looks like. It was cute watching Katie and Jeff try to sneak in some practice time after the ceremony during their photo shoot and before the grand entrance. All of their hard work paid off with a spectacular first dance. Katie even was able to overcome the fact that her dress came unbustled and keep going! Check it out:

No. 264 – Jessey and Dave

On Saturday we wrapped up our double-header weekend with Jessey and Dave’s vintage-inspired wedding aboard the Delta King in Old Sacramento, CA. Jessey knocked herself out with all the time and effort she put in on the decor. We’ve never seen the Delta King look so good! Everywhere you looked there was a special added touch — from the photos hanging from the sconces to what must have been 20-30 custom painted signs. But this was all just window-dressing, what really stole the show was Jessey and Dave’s visible love for each other. Here’s a sneak peek at their heartfelt vows and ring exchange:

No. 263 – Katie and Jeff

Yesterday we headed back to the picturesque Forest House Lodge in Foresthill, CA for Katie and Jeff’s wedding. This super nice couple defintiely likes to laugh and have fun and their day was certainly all that they wanted and more. We began our coverage as they got dressed and we got to experience all the behind the scenes happenings — from a pillow fight to a first look! Following their laugh-filled ceremony at the Grand Sierra Pointe, they invited their guests back to the lodge for dinner, dancing, and games. They also dazzled their guests with a choreographed first dance! We definitely gathered a lot of great footage and can’t wait to get to work on it. In the meantime, here’s a look at their fun ceremony:

No. 262 – Agueda and Mario

The temperature outside may have soared to 108 in Sacramento yesterday, but we were cool as a cucumber shooting Agueda and Mario’s wedding. Our day started first thing in the morning at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. Agueda may have been running a few minutes late to get ready at the church, but she was definitely worth the wait for Mario! She looked stunning in her gown and Mario didn’t look too shabby himself. Following the beautiful church service, everyone traveled to the Library Galleria for their afternoon reception. The couple played homage to their cultures by having a Chinese tea ceremony and a Mariachi band during dinner. After the formalities of the reception were finished, the guests enjoyed the music that DJ Rick Jenkins served up. He had that crowd rocking at 5:30 p.m. like only he can do! The party wrapped up at 8 p.m. and we were off to get some rest from our busy weekend, and of course, to get to work on putting together some memorable videos. In the meantime, here’s a look at their vows and rings to wet your appetite!

No. 261 – Shaina and Jeff

On Friday we kicked off our double-header weekend by traveling downtown to the Hyatt to shoot Shaina and Jeff’s red hot wedding! Their ceremony was held poolside and Mother Nature offered up 104 degree temperatures just to tempt us all to jump in the water! Pastor Tomas did his best to speed thru the service before we lost any of the bridal party which had the misfortune of having to line up in the full-sun portion of the patio! However, everyone got relief once they were inside for the reception and enjoying the beautiful views the Hyatt’s Capitol View Room offers. Here’s a sneak peek at their sizzling ceremony:

What a cute idea!

We see a lot of programs at weddings, but this is by far the cutest we’ve ever seen. I just love the playfulness of the program. Notice at the bottom all of the lips and moustaches? Look closely and you’ll see it’s actually a diagram of how the bridal party is standing up there at the altar. Bravo to Lauren and Ryan for coming up with such a clever way to present their wedding info!

No. 260 – Lauren and Ryan

Yesterday we headed to the Flower Farm in Loomis to shoot Lauren and Ryan’s wedding. It’s been a while since I posted any video to my Inspiration board on Pinterest, but I’m definitely going to have to do that again when I finish editing their video. Lauren knocked herself out with all of the special little details for her romantic, garden wedding. Lauren blended vintage/garden/country elements to come up with the perfect decor to compliment the beauty of the Flower Farm. Here’s a sneak peek at their vow and ring exchange from their ceremony — a moment that Lauren has waited 872 days for!
