No. 291 – Valerie and Shane

Yesterday we headed to the Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove for Valerie and Shane’s wedding. The beauty of the Mansion provided a great setting for all of the glitz and glamour of their Old Hollywood inspired wedding. We started our day by capturing all of the behind the scenes happenings and really got to know this fun couple. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for their outdoor ceremony and following their beautiful vows, guests headed inside the Mansion for a reception that featured a photo booth, cigar bar and of course lots of dancing. We may have only been there for five hours, but we shot a ton of footage and can’t wait to put it all together into something they’ll treasure forever! In the meantime, here’s a look at their ceremony:

No. 290 – Kristin and Scott

Yesterday we were lucky enough to share in Kristin and Scott’s beautiful wedding held at Silva’s Sheldon Inn in Elk Grove, CA. Where do I even begin when talking about how we spent our day? Do I talk about the beautiful venue Kristin and Scott chose to get married at that we had never been to before and one that provided such a gorgeous backdrop for their vintage chic wedding? Do I talk about what had to be many months of thought that went into all of the little details which blended a garden setting with vintage décor and a Scrabble theme? Do I talk about the ice cream bar they set up in lieu of a cake that featured the cutest ice cream stand complete with a pink pinstriped server, custom printed ice cream cups and plenty of yummy toppings? Or do I talk about how I am always amazed and impressed with those couples who do not shy away from expressing how they feel about one another and boldly stand in front of their family and friends and pour their hearts out to one another? It is those precious moments where we all get a glimpse into their love story that I want to focus on. And it all began when Scott saw Kristin walk down the aisle:

No. 289 – Mayra and Francisco

Yesterday we had the pleasure of sharing in Mayra and Francisco’s wedding celebration. It took seven long years for the day to come and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Our day started at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament as they shared their “I Do’s” in front of a large crowd of friends and family. We then traveled to Citrus Heights for their reception held at the White Lotus Banquet Hall. This was our first time at this newer facility and boy were we impressed. The beauty of the venue combined with Mayra and Francisco’s choice of decor was simply stunning. Their guests enjoyed a photo booth, a chocolate fountain, and a live band which packed the dance floor. We had a great time spending the day with this super nice couple and we can’t wait to share their wedding video with them. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at their ceremony:

No. 288 – Wendy and Chris

On Saturday we headed to Lincoln to shoot Wendy and Chris’ Western themed wedding held at the McCourtney Road Equestrian Center. This couple put much thought into transforming their venue from a working equestrian center to a beautiful space fit for a wedding. Not only did they handcraft all of the wooden signs, but they even bent metal to form horseshoes for their favors. Their teamwork before the wedding really paid off with some outstanding do-it-yourself décor. Probably the only thing that they didn’t account for were the 30 mph winds that made for a challenging day. Here’s a sneak peek at their ceremony:
