No. 295 – Laura and Michael

On Saturday we headed to Granite Bay to film Laura and Michael’s wedding. The day started at the bride’s house where not a detail was overlooked by Laura’s wonderful family. Guests were welcomed at the door with an inviting sign and they were treated to a gorgeous spread of breakfast items. Fresh cut flowers in “tiffany blue” vases (Laura’s color) were seen throughout the home to add to the décor and new robes were hanging from the mantle awaiting the bridesmaids. I shoot a lot of brides getting ready at their home and I was impressed with the amount of thought that her family put into making the beautification process so special! Next up we headed to Granite Bay Golf Course for Laura and Michael’s first look before making our way to St. Joseph Marello Church for their ceremony. Michael was blessed to have his family’s priest perform the service and guests were entertained by his thoughts on Laura and Michael – especially his pointing out what a perfect Disney Princess Laura would make! Once Laura and Mike made it official, we headed back to Granite Bay Country Club for their elegant reception. It’s not always in every couple’s budget for us to spend their whole day with them, but when couples do choose to have us begin filming as they get ready and then have us stay until they depart for their honeymoon (in their case it was a sparkler exit that led to Michael’s toilet-papered Mustang), it really makes for a great video. Laura and Michael are headed off to get pampered in Mexico and we are already at work putting together their video. Here’s a sneak peek:
