No. 321 – Shelley and Bruce

Patton

Client: Shelley and Bruce

Date: June 20, 2015

Ceremony & Reception Location: The Citizen Hotel, Sacramento, CA

Great idea: Instead of the usual framed canvas photo for the guests to sign, instead they provided a piece of artwork for the guests to sign that matched the color scheme/graphics of the wedding.

Yum!:The Citizen Hotel never disappoints with their dinner. Rather than having just a buffet or plated service, the couple chose to have the food served family style as a way to get their guests to interact with one another. As Bruce announced in his speech, their goal was for their guests to meet and get to know someone new.

Fabulous vendors: It was great working again with photographer Shawna Clark and DJ Joe with Extreme Entertainment. It’s always an easier day when the vendors work together as a team!

No. 221 – Randie and Jeff

On Saturday we headed to the Citizen Hotel in downtown Sacramento to capture Randie and Jeff’s wedding ceremony. The happy couple traveled all the way from New York to celebrate with their family and friends here in Sacramento. The day started with rain but by the end of the ceremony blue skies were overhead — perhaps it was a sign! Randie looked stunning in her gown and the flowers and color scheme were gorgeous and very elegant. We’re getting to work putting together their complete wedding video, but for now, enjoy this sneak peek of their ceremony:

Photo Booths

Photo Booths are a fun way to entertain your guests during cocktail hour and throughout the reception. Guests both young and old love being silly and taking some great candid photos as a memento of your wedding. Not every photo booth is created equal, however. A good selection of props is important as is the personality of the photo booth attendant. Here’s a look at Profinish Design Photo Booths who we’ve worked with several times in the past. A “Reel”y Good Idea #2

Looking for a good hotel to get ready at in Downtown Sacramento? Consider the Citizen Hotel. The rooms there have great architecture and cool wallpaper and carpet. Brides are always looking for beautiful ceremony and reception sites that will show well in photos and video, but they forget about the bridal suite. Some hotel rooms are very bland and it shows in the photos and video.

Now that’s brave!

As we mentioned in our earlier post, most brides are nervous walking down the aisle, hoping they won’t trip…but not Dorissa. She had the guts to sing a song to her husband-to-be as she walked down the aisle. It will still be a while before her finished video is ready to view, but we just had to get this clip up for everyone to see.
