No. 319 – Connie and Dustin

blog photo

Client: Connie and Dustin

Date: June 13, 2015

Ceremony & Reception Location: Grand Island Mansion, Walnut Grove, CA

Whirlwind Romance: These two fell in love and pulled off an elegant summer wedding all within a year!

How entertaining: Everyone was impressed by the choreographed Waltz they performed for their first dance. Not only did they show off their waltzing skills but they added in a little humor as well. Even Dustin’s mom got into the act, performing an entertaining Mother-Son dance to “A Song for My Son.”

Great idea: Photo frames containing pictures of them through the years lined the aisle leading to the alter. Then the frames were used as a display inside the reception.

Thirst quenching: Guests were treated to a root beer bar featuring craft root beers and they sure did hit the spot after the toasty outdoor ceremony. Dustin must have a fondness for the beverage because he even had a bottle cap pin on the lapel of his suit. How cute!

No. 298 – Samantha and Devan

On Friday we kicked off our double-header weekend with a scorcher at Grand Island Mansion. The temperatures may have soared past 100 degrees but that didn’t stop Samantha and Devan from declaring their love in front of their friends and family at Grand Island’s beautiful gazebo ceremony site. I always love the courage it takes to write and recite your own vows and this couple took on that challenge and mixed in some humor as well. Check out how they did:

No. 240 – Jennifer and Alvin

Jennifer and Alvin met in 2009 and yesterday they tied the knot at the gorgeous Grand Island Mansion in Walnut Grove, CA. They invited us to share in their morning ceremony in the beautiful gardens outside Grand Island Mansion, followed by an afternoon reception. The Mansion was packed with their 230+ guests, who were treated to a photo booth and some custom shot glasses. Perhaps the only thing that was missing from the perfect day was the couple’s canine family members! The happy couple is headed off to a Mediterranean cruise for the next three weeks and now we are getting started on their wedding video. Here’s a sneak peek at their “I Do’s” from their ceremony:

No. 234 – Lauren and Matt

For the last eight years Lauren and Matt have only had eyes for each other and on Friday they made it official in a beautiful wedding at the Grand Island Mansion. It’s been about two years since we shot a wedding at the Mansion and we were really impressed with some of the improvements that they’ve done there. The setting was picture perfect as Lauren and Matt exchanged their vows in front of friends and family. They even personalized the event to fit their love of soccer — with Lauren wearing soccer shoes and their recessional featuring a soccer kick into a goal. During the reception, guests were treated to a photo booth, an ice cream sundae bar, and the theatre playing their slideshow and later movies for the kids. All in all, the day was flawless — it just went by way too fast! The happy couple is off to Kauai while we get to work on documenting their big day! For the time being, enjoy this sneak peek at their exchange of vows and rings, and of course a look at their unique recessional! Congrats Lauren and Matt!
