No. 233 – Francesca and James

Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending the evening with Francesca and James as they tied the knot at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament in an evening ceremony. The Cathedral provided the perfect backdrop for their wedding, especially considering Francesca’s parents were also married there years ago. Following the service, the newlyweds traveled to the Croatian Cultural Center for their elegant reception. Francesca and James treated their guests to a photo booth, caviar bar, cigar bar, and a live band! There is something about having a live band to get your guests up on their feet. Their dance floor was packed all the way til 1 a.m. and probably would have kept going if they could! We had so much fun getting to know this super nice couple and their family. Here’s a sneak peek at their ceremony. Normally we include just the vows and rings in the sneak peek, but when Francesca almost lit her veil on fire during the unity candle, we just had to include that as well! Enjoy!

No. 232 – Sheri and MJ

Yesterday we had the pleasure of traveling to one of our favorite venues — Foresthill’s Monte Verde Inn. The weather may have been a scorcher in Sacramento, but at the shady grounds of Monte Verde we were treated to beautiful weather for Sheri and MJ’s garden wedding. The couple looked amazing as they beautifully shared their handwritten, heart-felt vows in front of their family and friends. Their dinner reception featured dancing, photo booths, and fun. With its picturesque backdrops, Monte Verde provided the perfect setting for Sheri and MJ’s elegant wedding. I can’t wait to start editing their video because I know for sure that the footage is going to be stunning! Here’s a sneak peek at their touching ceremony:

No. 231 – Lupita and Robert

Lupita and Robert are college sweethearts who have spent the last eight years together before finally tying the knot yesterday in a fabulous wedding that began in Vacaville and ended in Sacramento. Lupita is one very crafty bride! Much of the wedding decor she made herself, including her bouquet and her sparkly purple shoes. (She should start up a little business and sell her handiwork on Etsy because I know brides would love it). The couple exchanged their vows at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Vacaville before heading to Old Sacramento and the California Automobile Museum. We had never shot a reception there before, but we were pleasantly surprised at the old school glamour its backdrop provided for their reception. The highlight of the reception was actually their grand entrance, when they drove right into the reception hall in a vintage car. We really enjoyed the time we spent with this super nice couple and we can’t wait to get to work on their video. In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at their ceremony for them to enjoy (and Lupita’s sister who missed the wedding because she was a little busy giving birth, but that’s another story…)

No. 230 – Kiersti and Chris

Yesterday we spent the day with Kiersti and Chris at the Vizcaya Pavilion and Mansion in Sacramento as they tied the knot after five long years of waiting! The weather was perfect and the Vizcaya provided the perfect backdrop for the couple’s elegant wedding. The bride’s Tiffany blue color scheme went perfectly with the Pavilion’s natural lighting. Plus the bride and groom didn’t look to shabby themselves! We had a lot of fun getting to know their family and can’t wait to deliver their video to them. For the time being, here’s a recap of their ceremony and their heartfelt vow exchange. We just loved the enthusiasm Chris showed right after Kiersti finished with her vows. It was priceless!

No. 229 – Veronica and Mike

Five days ago I was contacted by Veronica and Mike. They said that their wedding is Saturday, June 2nd and they decided that they would forever regret it if they didn’t hire a videographer. Luckily, we still had the date open (can you believe it — an open Saturday in June?)! So yesterday we shot their wedding at a Romanian church in Sacramento followed by a reception at the Rocklin Event Center. When they booked us, they said that it was really important to them that we get really good coverage of all of the craziness that will happen at their reception. We thought, sure, how much dancing can you really film? Well in their case, A LOT!!! Their wedding must have been one of the best receptions we’ve ever attended. Not only was there the usual reception events, but there were also bride and groom kidnappings, dancing on tables, guests spraying champagne, and a lot of really good dancing. Not only are Veronica and Mike really nice people who looked stunning on their big day, they are also super comfortable in front of the camera which made for some spectacular video. We also got to work with one of our favorite photogs — Chuck and Mackenzie from Chuck Roberts Photography. Their understanding of lighting made for some gorgeous footage from Mike and Veronica’s Capitol photo shoot. We can’t wait to finish their video for them and we are so happy that we could capture every moment of their big day because it is surely something they will want to remember forever! In the meantime, here’s a sneak peek at their ceremony for all of their family and friends in Romania to see:
