See more from your big day!

If you have done any research into videography, you’ll notice that there’s two flavors of it — documentary and cinematic. We definitely put ourselves in the documentary category. Our goal is to provide you candid, comprehensive coverage of the event. While others are trying to tell your love story in the video and really just focus on the two of you, we are more focused on telling the story of the event itself. Our goal is to be your eyes and ears for the day so you can sit down after the wedding and experience your wedding (and all that you missed since the day is such a blur). That’s why we provide a full length video with all of the key moments in their entirety and we also provide a lot of candid coverage of your guests so you can see how they enjoyed your big day.

No. 336 – Caity and Chris

blog post

Client: Caity and Chris

Date: October 2, 2015

Ceremony & Reception Location: The Firehouse, Sacramento, CA

The Couple: Los Angeles residents Caity and Chris travelled back to Caity’s hometown for their garden wedding at the beautiful Firehouse Restaurant. After meeting and falling in love while attending UC Berkeley (Go Bears!), Caity followed Chris to Southern California as they pursued job opportunities. The English degrees they earned at Cal paid off big time for them as they wrote what many would argue as the most important text of their lives — their personal vows to one another. Their wasn’t a dry eye in the place as Caity and Chris poured their hearts out to one another!

Memorable Line: One of the more memorable lines of the evening actually came from Caity’s Uncle Jim who also served as Officiant. Friends and family couldn’t contain their laughter when he declared, “When it comes to Caity, Chris is the Caity Whisperer!”

Getting the Party Started: There are many aspects of a wedding that are video worthy – where just a photo will not suffice. At this wedding it was the Father-Daughter dance. Not only did Caity and her dad wow the crowd with a non-traditional dance, their high energy routine got everyone out of their chairs and onto the dance floor to kick the party off right! Now that’s how to get a party started!

No. 325 – Natalie and Nick

blog

Client: Natalie & Nick

Date: August 1, 2015

Ceremony & Reception Location: The Firehouse Restaurant, Old Sacramento, CA

Natalie dress Family ties Natalie and Nick’s marriage was obviously a coming together of two families but it was also the creation of a new family as Nick became a step-father to Natalie’s daughter Isla. It was so cute seeing the interaction between the three of them all day! You’ll notice in the ceremony preview that Isla couldn’t be happier about the marriage.

Stunning dress! Natalie’s dress was simply gorgeous and the open back of the dress was a show-stopper!

Too cute I know the wedding was supposed to be about Natalie and Nick but Isla was just too cute and such a trooper all evening. The cutest moment of the night occurred when Isla serenaded her parents with the song “Lava.” She owned that stage!

program

Bravo!: I am a big fan of providing a ceremony program at a wedding and I loved Natalie and Nick’s. It was informative yet it was written with such humor and really conveyed the couple’s personality. It’s also great when a diagram is provided showing who is who in the bridal party!

wine bottle

Great Idea!: One of the great things about The Firehouse as a venue is that it’s so lush and elegant that it doesn’t require much added decor. So instead of elaborate centerpieces the couple went with very simplistic wine bottles that doubled as a thank you to their guests. They also ran with a “wine” theme and used corks as place card holders and even in the boutonnieres!
