No. 245 – Zayra and Mike

On Friday we kicked off our double-header weekend by shooting Zayra and Mike’s wedding at Arden Hills. After 8 years of being together and two beautiful children later, Zayra and Mike decided to make it official in front of their family and friends at Arden Hills’ Courtyard ceremony site. Their ceremony featured their son carrying the rings in a briefcase (secret service style) and it ended with a rendition of “All you need is love” courtesy of the officiant and their bridal party. This couple definitely doesn’t like to be ordinary, so at the reception, guests were treated to the couples’ choreographed first dance mash-up as well as the groom standing on the head table to profess his love and thanks. All in all, the day was perfect for this super nice couple and they got some gorgeous photos thanks to the picturesque grounds at Arden Hills and the expertise of their photographer — Sam from Sharpe Photography (www.sharpephotographers.com). He’s one of our favorite photographers to work with! We’re headed off to shoot our next wedding, but in the meantime, enjoy this clip from their ceremony:

No. 239 – Renee and Ramon

Renee and Ramon are high school sweethearts who have been together longer than a lot of married couples! Twelve years later they finally made it official with an elegant wedding at Arden Hills yesterday. The temperatures were soaring but that didn’t stop them from saying their “I Do’s” in front of their family and friends in Arden Hills’ beautiful courtyard site. Following the ceremony, guests were escorted into the Gold Room, which looked stunning thanks to some gorgeous centerpieces and well placed up-lighting. The highlight of the reception had to be the first dance, which featured some dry ice to give a “dancing on clouds” effect on the dance floor. Their relationship has definitely withstood the test of time and now we are tasked with creating a wedding video for them that will to! In the meantime, enjoy this sneak peek at their ceremony:

Sample highlight video

Here’s a sample highlight video from a wedding that we shot recently. Remember, in addition to your full length video that includes everything in its entirety (ceremony, grand entrance, toasts, cake, first dance, tosses, etc.), we create a condensed video that’s an overview of the day. The highlight video is a great product to show to your friends and family and best of all, it’s free with any package. We’ve used some generic music for this sample, but couples are welcome to make their own music selections. Enjoy!

Great personal vows!

Anyone who knows Sarah and Tom knows how much they love to laugh. They have such a great sense of humor that they even chose to get married on April Fool’s Day. When it came time to share their personal vows, they didn’t disappoint. Sometimes couples are hesitant to write personal vows because they find it to be too mushy. But these vows prove that you can also share vows that are humorous as well as heart-felt.
